Dear Fellow Stewards and Friends of St. Paul’s
November 1, 2018
Again, first and foremost, and I truly mean this, thank you for your positive response to our stewardship campaign. Your pledge commitments are very important to the mission of our Parish.
Not to sound like a broken record, I still remain hopeful that we are all able to increase our pledges. Before committing to your pledge, I ask again that you do a little soul searching about what St. Paul’s means to you, and then what keeps you here. I think that once you are able to answer those questions, your commitment to a pledge amount will be a little easier. If you have been in church the last few weeks, please think of the stories shared by our storytellers, first by Cullen and Eoin, then by Willie, and last week by Ananda; on a personal note, each of those stories struck a powerful chord with me, I hope they did the same for each of you.
It is still very important to get your pledges in; the Vestry has prepared a budget, and they need to know that the pledges are in line with the proposed 2019 budget. If it is easier, send an email to stewardship@stpaulscarrollst.org with your pledge details. We just need to know the pledge amount, and then let us know if you have a pledge number or not.
Last week in church, I spoke briefly about the new Stewardship board hanging in the Parish Hall, artfully and generously prepared by our Vestry, more importantly by both Madge Wilner and Sandy Miller, so please thank them for their gift. This board is our board, it belongs to all of us; this is where we can share our stories, photos or even artwork prepared by the children of the Parish. If you have something you want to add to the board, please speak to either Madge or Sandy. I encourage all of you to visit the Stewardship board. Thank you again, please don’t hesitate to ask questions.
