Stewardship2019 Ask 3

Dear Fellow Stewards and Friends of St. Paul’s

October 25, 2018

Again, first and foremost thank you for your positive response to our stewardship campaign. Your comments are very important.

For those of you still trying to figure out how much to pledge, a couple of tips. If you have small children, there is no reason for them to have access to the internet or television, and why go on vacation when Prospect Park is just blocks away, and college is overrated. Now that you have saved all that money, deciding how much you want to pledge is much easier.

Seriously, I remain hopeful that we are all able to increase our pledges, the mission of St. Paul’s is too important for us to ignore. Before committing to your pledge, I ask again that you do a little soul searching about what St. Paul’s means to you, and then what keeps you here.  I think that once you are able to answer those questions, your commitment to a pledge amount will be a little easier.

It is critically important to get your pledges in as soon as possible; the Vestry has prepared a budget, and they need to know that we are there to support the heavy lifting. If it is easier to pledge online, just send an email to stewardship@stpaulscarrollst.org with your pledge details. Provide the pledge amount, and let us know if you have a pledge number or not.

You can see our progress on the stewardship web page: http://stpaulscarrollst.org/stewardship/

This Sunday as the last Sunday of Stewardship Month, you will again be hearing from one of our story tellers. I hope that you will agree that the stories shared by Cullen and Eoin a few weeks back and then Willie last week were very inspiring.

Before I go, there have been several questions about volunteer opportunities.  The Vestry, in conjunction with Father Garrenton, have prepared the following list of volunteer opportunities. If you would like to assist in any of these areas, you may fill out the form below and hand it to an usher or a member of the Vestry. You may also speak to anyone on the Vestry about these opportunities.
