  • ADULT CHRISTIAN ED BEGINS TODAY: After Coffee Hour, Mr. David DeLauro, doctoral student at New York’s Jewish Theological Seminary, opens the fall series with a presentation on studying the Hebrew Scriptures entitled “(Mis) Translating the Bible: Hebrew Scriptures in Context.”  All are welcome to attend this talk which will be given in the Library.
  • OCTOBER IS STEWARDSHIP MONTH  Every October, members of St. Paul’s are encouraged to reflect on how we are caring for, and deploying the gifts that God has given to us.  After reflection, each parishioner and friend will be given a “pledge card” to fill out and return to the parish office.  On it will be opportunity to share with the Treasurer how much you pledge to donate to St. Paul’s during 2016.  (If your life circumstances change for the better or worse during the year, your pledge may be changed by notifying the Treasurer.  These commitments are held private.)

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION OFFERINGS:  The parish’s Adult Christian Education Committee invites all to join them in the Rectory Library for their monthly, post-mass hour-long gatherings.  In addition to this month’s presentation by David DeLauro (noted above), this fall’s offerings also include: November 15:  The Rev. Nell Archer, Keith Edwards, and John Prince leading a discussion of Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si, “On Care for our World”; and on December 20:  “Re-Considering Handel’s Messiah”, a presentation led by Rufus Hallmark and Vince Peterson as a prelude to our annual “Messiah Sing” to be held later that evening.
