UPCOMING PARISH AND COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Changing gears for the season:  May 21 marks the seasonal closing of our Choral and Christian Education offerings.  On Memorial Day weekend mass is said at the usual hour of 11:00, but on the first Sunday of June our Sunday mass start-time shifts back an hour to a cooler 10:00. During the summer, mass is celebrated with simple ceremonial, and lemonade and iced tea replace coffee after mass.  On October 1st, we will shift back into high gear!
  • Prayer Vigil for Pentecost:  In anticipation of the Feast of Pentecost, all are invited to attend the ecumenical prayer Vigil to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, at Sacred Hearts and St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church at the corner of Summit and Hicks Streets.
  • On Sunday, June 11, at 3:00 p.m., St. Paul’s sponsors for our wider community a panel discussion on Racial Justice & Reconciliation!  Guest panelists include:  The Rev. Flora Wilson Bridges, of Rendell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Harlem; The Rev. Marie Tatro, Vicar for Community Justice, Episcopal Diocese of Long Island; and Rabbi Hara Person of the Central Conference of American Rabbis.
  • Do you have books needed for our parish library?  Donate racial justice books to our parish library by placing them in the marked basket behind the pews. Thanks.
  • The Rector will be at St. Andrew’s, Saltaire, next Sunday.  Fr. Lin Garrenton will be our celebrant and preacher.
