LENTEN OPPORTUNITIES
Optional Subhead
- Non-perishable Food Drive: Our Sunday School students have drawn our attention to the fact that our food donations are running behind, WAY behind! They’ve prepared bins to receive donations of nonperishable food items which they will take on Good Friday afternoon to the Food Pantry at First Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn Heights. The receiving-bins are located in the rear of the nave.
- Last Home Discussion Groups on Racial Justice & Reconciliation, this Sunday, April 2. There is still room at this week's two meeting places, and we urge those of you who have not yet been able to attend a session to come this Sunday. You can sign up at coffee hour or get in touch with Rufus Hallmark via his email address as found in the Parish Directory. We would very much like to hear from as broad a group of people at our church as possible.
- All hands on deck! St. Paul’s daily operation depends mostly upon the volunteer contributions and efforts of its parishioners. A congregation-wide deep cleaning of our buildings is held every year on the Saturday before Holy Week—this year, April 8. There is a job for people of all abilities and all ages. Two-hour timeslot tasks begin at 9:30 and end by 3:00. A signup sheet with job description and times is available for your signature at Coffee Hour!
- Photo ID Board—more picture taking! During Coffee Hour on Palm Sunday, our great parish photographer will be here to take photos of all those whose pictures are not yet up on our very useful Parish Hall Photo ID board. If your picture is not yet there, or if you would like an updated photo made (for example, to include a new addition to your family), please plan to come and have a truly excellent photographer of amazingly flattering portraits take your snapshot!
- Easter Flower Donations. Donations are being received to help in decorating the church for the Easter Feast. Flower Donation Envelopes are included in Sunday bulletins, or you may send in your contribution to the parish office no later than Monday, April 10. Please PRINT the names of those you would like to have printed in the Easter Day bulletin, and not if they are departed or still living (memorials or thanksgivings). Thanks.
