Book of Common Prayer

  • Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant, we beseech thee, that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain these liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

SOME UPCOMING SUMMERTIME EVENTS

  • 4th of July BBQ invitation from Christ Church.  Christ Church, our closest Episcopal Church neighbors at Clinton and Kane Streets, invites all to their July 4th Eucharist at 4:00 p.m., and/or their 5:00 ‘til Fireworks time BBQ and Picnic in their garden.  Bring food to grill—libations on hand—RSVP / Information at 718-624-0083.
  • Parish Walk in Prospect Park: Sunday, July 31, after Mass.  In the past, parishioners have headed up to the Catskills to hike; this summer, Jennie Kessler is inviting all of us to join her on a gentler walk through one of the most bucolic urban parks in the world, Brooklyn’s own Prospect Park.  Wear your hiking shoes to mass on Sunday, July 31; then join fellow parishioners on this walk through God’s glorious creation, somewhat rearranged by Vaux and Olmstead.  Details to follow.
