LENT BEGINS NEXT WEEK
Ash Wednesday, February 10
- Liturgies will be celebrated here at 7:30 a.m., Noon, and 7:30 p.m. All are encouraged to begin Lent at the Lord’s Table, be it here at St. Paul’s, or in a church nearby one’s workplace, school, or home.
- The Prayer Book designates Ash Wednesday as a “strict fast”, which now generally means one main meatless meal, and two smaller meals, all without sweets. Solid foods should not be eaten between meals. Children, pregnant and nurseing mothers, seniors, and those on medications or living with medical diatary restrictions are not bound to fast.
- Pre-Lent confessions may be made by appointment with a priest.
