Some Helping Hands
This Friday, we will be serving between 300 and 400 people as we join with Good Shepherd Services and the Red Hook Miccio Center in hosting a Red Hook Thanksgiving Dinner at PS 676. We will meet at St. Paul’s at 4:30 and walk the few blocks to PS 676 (27 Huntington Street) where we will serve dinner, and then share an evening meal with our neighbors in the Hook. All families are invited to help out. If you did not sign up at Coffee Hour, contact the Parish Office, no later than noon on Wednesday to participate.
Pledge Cards
The Vestry is beginning to set the budget for 2015. To help them in their work, make sure you have turned in your pledge cards for next year. If you need an extra card, or if you have any questions about pledging, you can speak to Doug Munson, chair of the Stewardship Committee, or any other member of the Vestry. When they know the projected pledge income, the Vestry can make allocations as they go about setting the 2015 budget.
Food Pantry
This week, we continue gathering food for the pantry at First Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn Heights. Baskets are in the rear of the church for your donations.
Needed: Joyful Singers
Mark your calendars for 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 21st, when you can join with many other voices in singing the choral sections of Handel’s Messiah. Vince Peterson has assembled an excellent orchestra and soloists who will
take care of the arias while you rest up for the big choral numbers. Last year, this proved to be a wonderful way to join with others in welcoming in the Christmas season. Tickets are available now at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/969490
